Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered leaks ahead of official reveal

Following a strange leak back in July, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered has leaked once more. Ahead of tonight’s PlayStation State of Play, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered briefly appeared on the PlayStation Store, with plenty of details about the remaster and a December release date.Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver remasters leakAs per the store description (via Resetera), Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered is being developed by Aspyr and will launch on December 10, 2024, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise. Due to the leak’s origin, the game’s trailer only lists PlayStation platforms, but we assume/hope this collection will also be heading to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, much like Apsyr’s other recent remaster project, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. This remastered collection includes Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, and according to the game’s blurb, you can play both titles in “original form or with remastered graphics.”The listing continues: “Centuries after your former master, Kain, betrays and executes you, you rise again and embark on a relentless quest for revenge.”Wield the Powers of a Wraith. Slay your former vampire brethren with your claws, bolts of telekinetic energy, and the elemental Wraith Blade. Grow stronger by devouring the souls of your enemies.”Shift Between Realms. The Elder God has granted you the ability to shift between the Spectral and Material Realms. Traverse the realms to solve puzzles, reveal new paths, and defeat your foes.”We’ll likely see a proper announcement during tonight’s State of Play. Hopefully, Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics will also confirm an Xbox release for Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered after its State of Play reveal, much in the same way how Tomb Raider I-III Remastered was revealed during a Nintendo Direct and then confirmed for Xbox later.
