Kao the Kangaroo is making a comeback after a 16-year hiatus, and it is promising to be a colourful family-friendly adventure filled with secrets, boss battles, and more when it launches this summer.Developed by Tate Multimedia, Kao the Kangaroo is a family-friendly game that has you helping Kao find his missing sister and learning what happened to his long-lost father. The adventure will take you through colourful worlds and battling famous fighting masters that are being controlled by a dark power. You’ll use Kao’s magical boxing gloves to punch your way to victory, unlock special items, and uncover the secrets of the vibrant world.“It’s really exciting to finally be able to say to people that, yes, we will be launching Kao the Kangaroo this summer,” says Tate Multimedia studio head, Kaja Borowko. “Throughout development, it’s been important to us to make sure Kao’s new adventure both feels like a tribute to his previous outings for existing fans, as well as a fresh, contemporary platformer for newcomers. Kao the Kangaroo will be a complete reboot of the series when it launches this summer on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. The first game was originally released back in 2000 on the SEGA Dreamcast, with three sequels following it that collectively shipped 700,000 units.
