Recording artist Kanye West released his latest album on Thursday night, DONDA, via a live event at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
West’s most recent albums have been met with mixed reviews. His last release, The Life of Pablo, came out in 2016. Since then, West has done everything from join Donald Trumps’ entourage to run for President.
Finally out of the public spotlight and divorced from Kim Kardashian, West is free to focus on his work. The question remains, however, will it be worth listening to?
A packed stadium in Atlanta and millions listening worldwide suggest there’s still much anticipation for his music. The first song off DONDA dropped in the NBA Finals. Now, we get the rest.

DONDA was first set to release in July of 2020. Per usual, Kanye was late to the party — this time by a full year. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s tough to fully blame him on that one.
