Kansas City amusement park Worlds of Fun permanently banned Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams from the park. Adams had a controversial incident where he shoved a photographer to the ground in Kansas City, and he later apologized on Twitter but it wasn’t enough to fix the damage done.
The photographer didn’t do anything to provoke Adams, but rather, he had frustrations with his teammate, fellow wide receiver Hunter Renfrow over the game’s final play and he took it out on the cameraman.
Adams will likely face consequences from the NFL, and the incident is being investigated by the Missouri Police Department.
Not all reactions to Raiders WR Davante Adams’ incident have been negative
Raiders coach Josh McDaniels spoke out on the situation and expressed his support for Adams. According to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN, McDaniels stated, “I support Davante wholeheartedly as a human being. As a person, he’s a great guy. I know that was an unfortunate situation. We obviously don’t want any of our guys to be doing anything like that. He knows that. He’s very well aware of that. But I know the person; I don’t think there was any intent behind it, on his part. But whatever [the NFL] asks of us, whatever they need from us, obviously we’ll comply. But we’re kind of in a wait-and-see [situation] at this point.”
It’s understandable that he’d want to stick up for his player, but Adams should absolutely be held accountable for his actions.
