In the latest Feature Focus article, Frontier details the improvements and changes made to guided tours for Jurassic World Evolution 2. “We’ve brought back Tours from Jurassic World Evolution for the sequel,” Frontier says. “Your guests can take a ride inside dinosaur enclosures using Gyrospheres or hop on a guided Jurassic Tour as a group.” Tour tracks will be able to be built over paths, making a path junction, and fences can be placed over tracks to create a new gate. You’ll also have photo points along tours, which you can see taking photos of your guests as they ride past. Frontier adds that you won’t be able to see the images yourself; the photo feature just serves as another level of immersion. Frontier also confirmed that tours will be able to run through Aviaries, and that Jurassic Tour vehicles can be damaged by aggressive dinosaurs. In other Jurassic World Evolution 2 news; the Species Field Guides have now moved over to looking at flying creatures, with the latest focusing on the Pteranodon. “Pteranodon is a social animal and can get somewhat aggressive if they don’t have other members of their species near by. Make sure to account for this when you’re planning out their Aviaries, so they can keep each other company,” Frontier adds. “As with their cousin, Dimorphodon, they’ll start to expand their territory into the rest of your park if they manage to break out of their Aviaries. They may also start taking swipes at the guests, so make sure you open up those shelters to protect your visitors from any and all attacking dinosaurs.”We don’t yet have a specific release date for Jurassic World Evolution 2 beyond 2021, but we’ll keep an eye out for any major news.
