The latest developer diary for Jurassic World Evolution 2 has the team discussing the game’s United States setting in the Campaign Mode, as well as Chaos Theory — giving players the chance to play out a scenario from each of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies.Jurassic World Evolution 2 is doing away with those mosquito-ridden tropical islands and moving to the land of the free. Slotting into where Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom left off, Evolution 2 tasks players with rounding up the escaped dinos that are now calling the United States home. In order to ensure public safety — and the safety of the animals — we’ll be working alongside the Department of Fish and Wildlife to set up holding facilities to safely contain the dinosaurs once we’ve captured them. We won’t be alone in our mission, however, due to many of the characters from Jurassic World Evolution reappearing for this new endeavour, as well as Owen Grady and Clare Dearing from the Jurassic World movies. As we traverse the country collecting and securing the overgrown lizards, we’ll face environmental challenges like snowstorms and sandstorms, plus new illnesses and injuries to the dinosaurs.Well, that’s Campaign mode — Chaos Theory mode, though, puts us into an alternate reality of each of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies. For instance, what would happen if the San Diego park went ahead in The Lost World: Jurassic Park? We’ll get a chance to find out in Chaos Theory… let’s just hope we don’t get chased by a T-rex down a busy street whilst driving a convertible. Are you looking forward to playing Jurassic Park Evolution 2? Shout “Sarah Harding” as loud as you can in the comments — how many Sarahs do you think are on this island?
