Actress Janina Gavankar revealed on Twitter over the weekend that she is working with Amy Hennig’s team at Skydance New Media on the upcoming Marvel AAA project.The announcement of the blockbuster action-adventure came as a surprise last week, and Gavankar sounded pretty excited to finally reveal that she has been a part of the project.As spotted by GameRant, Gavankar tweeted:I can FINALLY TELL YOU THIS!THIS is what I’ve been so lucky to be a part of. @Skydance + @amy_hennig x @Marvel = #SkydanceNewMediahttps://t.co/XTthJGzcRY— janina gavankar (@Janina) October 30, 2021Gavankar is known for a number of television shows including her role as Luna Garza on HBO’s True Blood. However, she is no stranger to video games. She entered the industry as the voice of Amita in 2014’s Far Cry 4, and went on to work on Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds (Tatai). Her most notable role in games is that of Iden Versio in Star Wars Battlefront II. She is currently working on the Borderlands movie (Commander Knox), and is lending her voice to PlayStation 5 console-exclusive Forspoken (Tanta Sila), which is also being written by Amy Hennig.Neither Marvel nor Skydance shared any details about the upcoming game beyond announcing its existence. Skydance said that it has hired industry veterans with decades of AAA development experience to create the narrative-driven adventure.“Amy has been setting the bar for narrative adventure games for decades and we are happy to be collaborating with the talented and experienced New Media team at Skydance,” said Jay Ong, Executive Vice President & Head of Marvel Games. “Their ambition and vision for making innovative entertainment using beloved Marvel IP was obvious from our first meeting.
