DC Studios head honcho James Gunn has not ruled out more video games in the Arkhamverse, after fans assumed that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League would be the final entry in the Rocksteady-developed franchise, with future games based on the DC movies. However, speaking on Threads, Gunn made it clear that there are no plans to bring the curtains down on more of Rocksteady’s Arkhamverse titles, although at this point was understandably not able to elaborate any further. When asked if Kill the Justice League would be the last game in the Arkhamverse series, he replied (in a now-deleted message) “No plans of it being the last!” Another user asked him if DC were planning to make future games based on the DC Universe rather than Arkhamverse. In response, he said:“No way! I personally can’t wait for the game and hopefully more. I’m a fan!” Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been met with a lot of criticism from fans for its use of a constant Internet connection and the fact it’s not primarily a single-player experience. The game was originally due out in May 2023, but was delayed until February next year. [Source – DCU Updates on Twitter via 80 Level]
