Dustin Poirier will auction off the “Sleepy McGregor” Conor McGregor chain gifted to him by Jake Paul for the benefit of The Good Fight foundation.

The Paul brothers, namely Jake Paul, showed no mercy in the aftermath of Conor McGregor getting injured and losing to Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 264.

In the hours leading up to the big UFC pay-per-view event, Jake Paul showed off a one-of-a-kind, $100,000 chain that features a figurine of Conor McGregor knocked out. The figure is a reference to UFC 257 in January, where Poirier became the first man to defeat McGregor by way of a KO or TKO.

Now, as promised by the parties, in the wake of Poirier’s victory over McGregor at UFC 264, Poirier has been gifted the chain.

Poirier took to social media to announce that he will be auctioning it off, with proceeds going to his foundation.

The highly anticipated trilogy bout ended at the conclusion of round one when McGregor was unable to continue due to a leg injury. Replays showed McGregor’s leg give out in the closing seconds of the round, and it’s been since reported that McGregor broke his tibia and fibula.

McGregor has since claimed, along with his coach, John Kavanagh, that he had stress fractures in the leg already in the lead up to UFC 264.

Inside the cage, in the immediate aftermath of Poirier vs. McGregor 3, things proved to still be heated, with McGregor threatening to kill Poirier and his wife, Jolie, while Jolie Poirier flipped McGregor the bird as he was stretchered out.

McGregor has stated the rivalry between him and Poirier isn’t over, though McGregor is out of action until 2022. Poirier, meanwhile, is owed a title shot for the win in the trilogy fight.
