The Realme C55 that surfaced online recently will be launched on March 7. This revelation comes from Realme’s Indonesian branch, which set up a promo page on its official website revealing the C55’s launch date and sale date (March 8) in the Asian country.
The Realme C55 is also listed on Realme Indonesia’s online store. It doesn’t reveal the C55’s price but confirms the smartphone’s specs and design. The Realme C55 will be powered by the Helio G88 SoC and run Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 out of the box. It will have two memory configurations – 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. The former will support virtual RAM expansion of up to 6GB and the latter up to 8GB. Both models will have a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 1TB.
The Realme C55 will pack a 6.72″ FullHD+ 90Hz screen with a 680 nits peak brightness and a punch hole in the center for the 8MP selfie camera. But, more interestingly, the smartphone will come with Apple’s Dynamic Island-like setup, called Mini Capsule. It will display low battery alerts, the phone’s charging status, data usage, and step count and walking distance of the day. The last two won’t be available out of the box and will arrive later through an OTA.
Around the back, the Realme C55 will sport a dual camera setup headlined by a 64MP camera. And under the hood, it will have a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging – an upgrade over the C35’s 18W charging and a first for a C series smartphone. We probably won’t see any C series smartphones from Realme charging slower than 33W in 2023 since the company recently announced that most Realme smartphones this year would support 33W or faster charging.
The rest of the Realme C55’s highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will also have an NFC chip onboard and come with Dirac’s audio tuning. The C55 will be 7.89mm thick and have two color options – Rainy Night and Sunshower.
