How does Monster Hunter Wilds crossplay work? Capcom’s flagship RPG is a ton of fun solo, but it’s even better with friends. We’ve been teaming up with other hunters on our favorite platform since Monster Hunter first came to PC, but we’ve never been able to extend the invitation to our pals on console… until now.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available across a lot of platforms, and the odds are high at least one of your pals has picked up a different version to your own. Crossplay is the solution, letting you set aside your difference to take on MH Wilds monsters together. Here’s how to play Monster Hunter Wilds crossplay, including all the eligible platforms and how to enable it.
Does Monster Hunter Wilds have crossplay?
Yes, Monster Hunter Wilds crossplay is available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Crossplay is enabled by default, and you can toggle it on or off from the ‘Game Settings’ tab in the ‘Options’ menu. With crossplay disabled, you will only encounter players and squads native to your own platform.
When crossplay is enabled, you will encounter players across all platforms. With that said, while you may see people around, you won’t be able to engage with anyone with crossplay disabled. We recommend leaving crossplay enabled if you’re a particularly social player, though it won’t make too much difference to your experience if you prefer to hunt alone.
If you’re struggling to connect with other players despite having crossplay switched on, you may have connection issues. Check the MH Wilds server status to be notified of scheduled maintenance or sudden disruption.
