A Plague Tale: Innocence is getting a free Xbox Series X|S optimisation upgrade on July 6th, featuring 60fps, 3D audio support, and 4K on Xbox Series X. We’re not sure if we want to see the swarms of rats in a higher resolution — great, now we have the heebie-jeebies!The announcement came during yesterday’s Xbox Games Showcase Extended event with a trailer giving us a glimpse of the game in glorious 4K. After the announcement of A Plague Tale: Requiem, it’s definitely an optimal time for Focus Home Interactive to launch an Xbox Series X|S optimised version of A Plague Tale: Innocence. Players will want to revisit the world to either experience the incredible story for the first time or refresh their memory of the game in anticipation of the sequel. The new version launches on July 6th and features 60fps gameplay and 3D audio support for both Xbox Series X|S, while the Xbox Series X will also get a 4K resolution bump. If you haven’t played A Plague Tale: Innocence yet, we recommend that you do. The game’s got a solid 4.4-star user rating here on TA and delves into the English Inquisition’s formidable invasion of medieval France during the Hundred Years War. Will you be surviving the rat plague again or for the first time? Let us know!
