Ilia Topuria will not feel threaten by Ryan Hall’s ground game at UFC 264.
Ilia Topuria has an undefeated 10-0 record. Topuria seems to be confident in his skills to tame the enigma that is Ryan Hall. During his media day interview, Topuria said, “for me, he is like a normal person, nothing special for me.” He was not shy to speak his mind on what he thought of Hall’s skills or lack thereof.
The 24-year old Topuria comes in with seven submission victories. Hall on the other hand comes in with four submission victories but is widely regarded as a great submission specialist. Regardless of the pedigree Hall will walk into the Octagon with come Saturday, Topuria feels he is more than ready for the challenge.
Topuria continued to knock on the mythology Hall has built in his UFC tenure.
“If you see him, he has four fights in the UFC and has just one submission against a BJ Penn. Who wasn’t the same guy we were watching 10 years ago, he was an older man. He got the submission but he had another three fights and it was like disgusting.”
UFC featherweight Ilia Topuria feels he will make Ryan Hall uncomfortable
Topuria continues to prove throughout his young MMA career that he has a solid all-around game. His last win came at UFC Vegas 16 via a 1st rd KO. He is looking to have another finish.
“I come here to make people enjoy, I don’t come here for people to hate me I want people to love me. I come here to put a performance.”
