The International Esports Federation (IESF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Esports World Federation (ESWF).
As a result, the two federations will collaborate on the ‘development and unification of esports’ across the world.

The ESWF will lead the Esports for all Commission, a new initiative that will aim to create a more inclusive esports community. Meanwhile, Stephan Carapiet, Deputy President of the ESWF, will work closely on the project as honourary Vice President of the IESF.
Vlad Marinescu, President of the International Esports Federation, spoke on the partnership: “We are thrilled to join forces with ESWF to achieve our common goals. IESF will work with ESWF to provide the best resources to support international esports players and organisations and continue to promote responsible gaming for the World Esports family.
“IESF is bringing together all esports stakeholders to achieve a united ecosystem for the proper development of gaming worldwide. Together, we will help shape the future of esports.”

The collaboration marks the second between the IESF and another esports federation. In July, the IESF joined forces with the North American Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF) to help leverage esports as a tool for education.
Arniel Gutierrez, Founder and President of the ESWF, added: “This has become an important moment in the development and unification of our beloved and constantly growing and evolving industry. Inclusion, recognition, collaboration, and unification are our main targets and highest priorities.
“The Recent agreement achieves all these objectives in one goal. This is a clear sign that we can work towards making things happen and achieve great things together.”
Esports Insider says: The entire esports industry has aimed to improve levels of inclusivity throughout 2021, and this partnership between the IESF and ESWF aims to improve those levels even further.
