We’ve had a chance to play around with the Razer Minecraft PC peripheral collection, and it’s even better to look at in real life than pictures you may have seen online. This is one of many recent collabs from Razer, with this one ideal for any Minecraft fan who predominantly plays on a PC.
Razer is on quite the streak when it comes to quality PC peripheral collaborations. This Minecraft deal follows the recent Kuromi and Fortnite crossovers, both of which we also went hands-on with and found to be impressive. A big aspect of these collaborations that makes them so good is the thought that goes into selecting the best products for each set. While Razer could easily just throw in the best gaming mouse or keyboard into each one and charge a massive premium, it instead has sensibly picked its more affordable gear that makes this kit a reasonable option for those buying for younger friends and family.
The centrepiece of this collection has to be the Blackwidow X, which is a stunning full-size mechanical keyboard that is great for Minecraft thanks to its dedicated macro buttons running down the right side of the board. Its design is inspired by the Minecraft earth block, with the same design motif used for the mouse and mousepad; it looks great on each product.
The Blackwidow X also has a vibrant green glow radiating out from under the keys by default, but the lighting can be changed or even switched off if you so desire. There are also creepers occupying the space around the arrow keys and tucked away between the escape and F1 key, too.
This is a sensible choice of board for this collaboration, as even though it’s fairly expensive, it’s not one of Razer’s absolute top-tier options so the Minecraft additions don’t make it ludicrously pricey. Moreover, it’s still a great mechanical keyboard to use for gaming, and you’re not limited for key inputs thanks to its full-size layout plus the six additional macro keys.
Up next is the Razer Cobra mouse and Gigantus mouse pad. The Cobra is an ultralight 58g and comes with Razer’s Gen-3 optical switches and a customizable underglow. The Gigantus mouse pad is a soft cloth pad that pairs nicely with the lightweight design of the Cobra, meaning you won’t experience any disruptive friction between the two, and the mouse will effortlessly glide around the medium-sized surface.
Finally, there is the Razer Kraken V4 X, a wired gaming headset with a hyperclear cardioid mic and 40mm Razer TriForce drivers. This headset is perfect for Minecraft because of its 7.1 surround sound, which will let you hear exactly where the nearest creeper, zombie, spider, or sheep is. It’s also super soft on the ear and only weighs 310 grams, meaning long wear sessions won’t cause discomfort.
The cardioid mic is also ideal if you’re playing with friends. You’ll come across crystal clear regardless of which chat app you are using, but it can be conveniently tucked away when you’re not using it. This headset is also Razer Chroma compatible, so you can match up the lighting across all the wired devices for a synchronised look.
We’re excited to see what Razer comes up with next, but in the meantime, you can check out our Razer Blade 16 review of the latest 2025 model, which is “a triumph of gaming laptop design.” Meanwhile, if you really want to complete your Minecraft gear collection, why not check out the PDP Realmz Minecraft controller.
