Suzanne Collins set the literary world ablaze this week by revealing Sunrise on the Reaping, a new entry in her wildly popular Hunger Games series. The book is set to release next March, and a film adaptation will follow in 2026. If this news has sparked your interest in revisiting the franchise, or checking it out for the first time, a new Blu-ray collection releases later this month. The Hunger Games 5-Film Collection releases June 25 and is available to preorder for only $30 at Amazon right now.

The Hunger Games 5-Film Collection Bonus Features
Though Amazon doesn’t list the extra goodies, Walmart notes the new set comes with four art cards, a collectors pin, and tons of special features such as featurettes and behind-the-scenes footage. That makes this a great way to pick up exclusive Hunger Games content beyond the films–especially since the set is on sale for just $30 (Walmart’s price is $38).
As mentioned, this 5-Film Collection couldn’t be arriving at a better time, as Sunrise on the Reaping: A Hunger Games Novel is now up for preorder ahead of its March 18, 2025 release. Only the digital version is available at the moment, but hardcover preorders will likely be available soon. Sunrise on the Reaping is a prequel revolving around the 50th Hunger Games competition, which took place 24 years before the events of the first novel. You’ll get to experience Panem from a whole new perspective–but a familiar one. The story follows Haymitch Abernathy, the winner of the 50th Hunger Games who later went on to mentor his fellow District 12 residents, Katniss and Peeta.
If you need to catch up on the novels before Sunrise on the Reaping arrives, you’ll find the Hunger Games 4-Book Box Set (Paperback) for $38 (down from $62) and the Hunger Games 4-Book Box Set (Hardcover) for $53 (down from $97).
Be sure to check out the book and Blu-ray collections soon, as it’s unclear how long the price cuts will stick around.
