Huawei took the wraps off its latest Enjoy 70 series device today in China with the Enjoy 70X. This is a midrange offering with a sleek design and a massive 6,100 mAh battery, which supports 40W wired charging.

Enjoy 70X is built around a curved 6.78-inch OLED with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel houses a pill-shaped notch with an 8MP front-facing camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Huawei added a programmable “X button” side key, which can be used to launch frequently used apps, widgets or contacts.

The back features a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.56″ RYYB sensor and a 2MP depth helper.

In typical Huawei fashion, there’s zero official info regarding the chipset inside the device. Based on speculations and a recent Geekbench listing, we can assume the Enjoy 70X is equipped with the all-new Kirin 8000A 5G.

The 8000A 5G is said to feature a six-core CPU with 3x cores clocked at 1.84GHz alongside 3 cores clocked at 2.19GHz. The CPU is paired with a Mali-G610 GPU and 8GB RAM. Based on the Geekbench results, Kirin 8000A 5G is said to offer Snapdragon 695-level performance.

Another noteworthy feature is that the Enjoy 70X supports Beidou satellite connectivity in China with the ability to send and receive SMS text messages and images. The software side is covered by HarmonyOS 4.2.

Huawei Enjoy 70X comes in Gold Black, Snow White, Lake Blue, and Spruce Green colors. Pricing starts at CNY 1,799 ($246) for the 128GB trim and goes up to CNY 2,299 ($314) for the 512GB version.

The device is up for reservations in China from Huawei’s official online store, with deliveries scheduled for January 10.
