The Tycoon RNG Vulnerability tags can be a game-changer when altering your build. Creating vulnerable orbs can completely shake up your tycoon.

Does your Tycoon RNG build have any vulnerabilities? Another important factor to keep in mind when maintaining your tycoon is the efficiency of your overall build! We’ve got a Tycoon RNG Efficiency guide that breaks it down.

Tycoon RNG Vulnerability

So, how does the vulnerability effect in Tycoon RNG work? It’s something you really need to keep an eye on, especially when you’re planning to maximise your profits and efficiency. If an ore is vulnerable to an element, ensure no machines in your build can destroy or damage that ore.

Some Dropper machines instantly apply a vulnerability to your ores. When adding a new Dropper, take note of the buffs and debuffs it brings. For example, if it adds Fire vulnerability, and you have a machine part somewhere along your build that adds Fire, you have to decide which one to keep.

What is Vulnerability?

Ores can be vulnerable to any of the elements, some examples are Acid, Fire, Magnetic, etc. Be warned, some vulnerabilities actually add a timer to the ore. If the timer reaches 0 before it gets processed and sold, the ore is destroyed. Trust me, I’ve messed around with my build a few times and noticed that I’m not making any money purely because my ores were being removed from the conveyor belt.

Does Rarity Affect Vulnerability?

The first thought you have is that the rarest machines you obtain are the best. While they might be the ‘best’ for some builds, they may not be for your current one. Just because a machine is a 1 out of 250K chance, doesn’t mean it won’t be responsible for destroying your ores. It’s all about maintaining a balance between value, not combining vulnerable ores with effects, and making sure your ores get to the processor.
