The Halo Championship Series (HCS) is days away from the third LAN of the Halo Infinite season. Top teams such as OpTic Gaming, Cloud9, Sentinels will clash alongside amateur challengers hoping for a breakout event. Hundreds of players will soon begin their journey to Kansas City, Missouri, for HCS Kansas City 2022.
Following Cloud9’s dominance beginning at HCS Raleigh, their roster has looked unstoppable. That remained the case until OpTic Gaming, with newly added player Matthew “FormaL” Piper, dethroned Cloud9. This storyline and many others will boil over in Kansas City from April 29 to May 1.

The Group Stage features all the HCS’ heavy-hitters, including dominant forces Cloud9 and OpTic Gaming. Four teams out of the Open Bracket will also find themselves in the Group Stage. All 16 teams that reach pool play hope to finish first or second, which would move them to Winners Round 1. The remaining Group Stage teams will have to battle through the Losers Bracket.
