Evo is the largest fighting game event on the scene, bringing together the best players in the world to throw down in the biggest fighters out there. Here’s how you can catch all the action from Evo 2022, starting this Friday.Evo 2022 begins on August 5th, with three days of top-tier fighting action on the cards, along with news and updates from the field’s biggest developers and publishers. This year’s headline games are Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear -Strive-, Mortal Kombat 11, Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XV, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, Dragonball FighterZ, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and Skullgirls: 2nd Encore. If you just want to jump straight to the top flight clashes and watch the finals, the main stage Twitch stream (below) is where it’s at. While the event kicks off at 10am PT, this stream will be running panels, exhibitions, interviews, and more for most of the first day when pools and brackets are running, until the Skullgirls finals at 7pm PT, then it will just be showing back-to-back finals (plus perhaps the odd reveal or announcement) from the other eight games for the remaining two days of the event. Non-US folks might not like the look of some of those later time slots (I’d love to catch the Guilty Gear finals live, but 4am on Monday morning? No can do), but you’ll be able to catch up later on the Evo YouTube channel, which will also be airing the main stage stream live during the event.Evo 2022 main stage stream
If you’re interested in checking out the pools and brackets that lead up to grand finals in each of the headline games, Evo will have six additional streams running broadcasting these — check the full Evo 2022 schedule to see which are airing and on which channel at any given time over the weekend. Despite not technically being a headline game, MultiVersus’ £100k tournament will also be shown here from the top 32 onwards, specifically on Evo’s fourth channel from 3pm PT on August 6th. Want some even deeper fighting game cuts? Vortex Gallery is running and streaming a host of side tournaments over the first two days of Evo, with dozens of smaller fighters (and a few oddities like Catherine) getting tournaments and exhibitions as side events. These are split across a bunch of different Twitch channels and time slots so again, you’ll want to check out the full Vortex Gallery Evo side tourney schedule to see what’s on and when. From big games like SoulCalibur VI and Killer Instinct to classics like Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Street Fighter III: Third Strike (and of course plenty of Marvel vs. Capcom action), there’s loads of hype stuff here.Excited for Evo 2022?
