The game mode that has been added to the event includes the Ray Gun from the Zombies game mode. There is a trick that you can do that allows you to spawn with the gun every time in the new mode. So let’s take a look at the process of doing this down below:

To always spawn with the Raygun in a Vortex match:

1) Open the Loadout menu before game starts
2) Hover over any of your loadouts
3) ONLY if you are the FIRST player with the Raygun, quickly select a class in the Loadout menu.

How to Spawn with a Ray Gun in the Vortex Game Mode in CoD MW3

Firstly let’s take a short recap on how this game mode works so that we can understand why this trick will be so useful. The mode is basically a Free-For-All match-up but with a small twist. One of the players will spawn with the Ray Gun. Now the Ray Gun is a very strong weapon that can one-shot anyone. Therefore whoever gets the gun will have a massive advantage. However, the weapon can be taken away by killing the current owner. This will give the gun to whoever killed the former owner. This will go on till someone reaches the kill limit which is 25 points. Whoever reaches the limit first, wins it all.

Now spawning with the Ray Gun every time, regardless of dying with it, can be a huge advantage and allow you to easily reach the kill limit faster due to the weapon’s one-shot ability. So it is wise to try out this trick and use the Ray Gun to win the game mode much faster and easily. Keep in mind this will only work if you spawn with the gun at first. So if you aren’t the first owner, it won’t work.

So to successfully activate the trick follow the steps below:

1. Get into a Vortex match.
2. Wait until you spawn in.
3. After spawning, head to the loadout menu.
4. Wait there until the match starts.
5. If you spawn with the gun, equip a loadout immediately.

This will ensure that you get the Ray Gun every time you spawn, regardless of how many times you die. This will make it easier for you to reach the kill limit the fastest as you will be able to consistently get kills with the weapon. This will help you get more wins at a faster pace in the game mode.
