How to obtain Credit Coupons for ‘Unfinished Comedy’ in Genshin Impact

In Genshin Impact’s Fontaine area, you may encounter a lengthy quest line called “Unfinished Comedy.” You specifically need to find Credit Coupons as part of the “Game of the Rich” part of this quest line, which can be hard to do.

You get Credit Coupons for completing quests that are found around the Fortress of Meropide, called “Scenes from Life in Meropide.”

You can think of this quest kind of like the “adventuring with Aranara” quest back in Sumeru. You have a given task, but it’s not 100% clear how to complete that task, and it evolves doing shorter quests along the way.

You keep the Credit Coupons you earn, so you can use them to buy recipes or trinkets from the Rag and Bone Shop.

You may also find Credit Coupons in some of the chests you find in the fortress. We were able to find 30 by opening a common chest we ran into, so make sure to open those if you want extra goodies from the shop.

Below we list out all of the side quests that reward you with Credit Coupons in the Fortress of Meropide.

Obtaining Credit Coupons for ‘Unfinished Comedy’

The quests below will appear as parts of the “Unfinished Comedy” quest line, so these are useful for that quest, if you don’t want to hunt down coupons from chests.

Based on our testing, you do have to do these in the order we present below, as they won’t appear unless you’re in specific parts of the “Unfinished Comedy” quest line. Each of the quests in this section reward 280 Credit Coupons.

Nizami is in the Administrative Area.

Nakul is on the Dormitory Block.

This quest has no blue exclamation point marker, but it will automatically start as you approach the NPC. She is on the Production Zone Upper Level.

Collecting Credit Coupons for shops

If you’re looking to clear out the shops in the Fortress of Meropide, there are more quests to do. These will appear once you’re finished with the “Unfinished Comedy” quest.

‘Both Brains and Brawn’ world quest location

After completing the “Unfinished Comedy” quest line, head back to the Administrative Area of the Fortress of Meropide and start walking around. Paimon will start talking about something, automatically activating “Both Brains and Brawn.”

‘Scenes from the life in Meropide: The Art of Negotiation’ world quest location

Head to Alvard, the “Rag and Bone Shop” owner in the Fortress of Meropide, and buy the book “The Art of Negotiation” for 20 credits. Once you buy this, the quest will automatically start.

‘Scenes from the life in Meropide: Every Debt has a Creditor’ world quest location

You need to finish the full “Unfinished Comedy” questline to do this, including the “Hereafter” quest. One real-life day later, this quest will appear in the Administrative Area of the Fortress of Meropide.

In order to do this quest, you need to complete the “Every Debt has a Creditor” quest above. Once you do, this quest will be available in the Production Zone Lower Level.

There are a few more quests that are time-gated by an IRL clock, so we can’t confirm them yet. We’ll update this guide when we can.
