Well, fortunately for you, it’s easy to unlock and in this guide, I tell you how to complete the quest quickly so you can get back on track before the Summer Season is over!

How To Get The Vigilante Title In Fisch
The Vigilante Title is one of several that may be required to unlock the passage into the Brick Rod Room. Fortunately, of the possible title list (detailed in the Brick Rod Guide linked above), the Vigilante isn’t very demanding.
To earn this Title, visit the Agaric NPC resting against a mushroom at Mushgrove Swamp. This NPC tells an unfortunate tale involving an Alligator and requests that you help him take vengeance against the swamp-dwelling beast. In short, he asks for you to fish up and present an Alligator to him. In return for your efforts, you’ll obtain the Fungal Rod and Vigilante Title.
Alligator Preferences
Now to get an Alligator, you’ll need to hang around Mushgrove Swamp and fish in its abundance spot (highlighted in the image below). Its preferred fishing spot encases the rowboat found in the back lake of Mushgrove or is seen if you activate a Fish Radar.
As for preferences, you’ll fare better in capture if you hunt for the Alligator with the following conditions met:
- Rarity: Legendary
- Bait: Fish Head
- Weather: Foggy or Rain
- Time: Night
- Season: Spring
Fortunately, when you show Agaric the gator, he doesn’t take it from you. So, you can keep or sell it and enjoy your brand-new Title (and Rod).
