Sony is pushing out the PS5 Welcome Hub update to more players, and if you’re one of those who didn’t get it last week along September 2024’s system software update, you may have the feature waiting for you now. So far, we’ve only seen reports of users in the U.S. receiving the Welcome Hub, but since players are required to manually check for the update, it doesn’t hurt to try if you’re outside the region.
How to get the PS5 Welcome Hub update
From your PS5’s home screen, navigate to Settings, then System, and finally, System Feature Updates. If the Welcome Hub is available for you, it’ll apply the update and you’ll see the feature pop up.
As a reminder, the System Feature Updates function is there for smaller updates targeting individual features of the PS5’s system software, so you should check it periodically. This allows Sony to make minor improvements without rolling out a full firmware update. Every now and then players will get features, like the option to update games in their library with ease.
If you’re outside the U.S. and haven’t received the Welcome Hub update yet, then check the aforementioned section within the next few weeks.
