After unlocking Chain Attacks through story progress, you’re probably thinking that using Ouroboros Orders during Chain Attacks is as simple as having one or two characters transformed into the Ouroboros form in order for the Ouroboros Orders to take effect, well, that’s what I thought at least. However, that’s not the case. It’s a bit more complicated than that.
How To Do Ouroboros Orders In Chain Attacks In Xenoblade Chronicles 3
If you want to bring additional damage and effects with Ouroboros Orders in your Chain Attacks, you need to complete Orders of both members of any Ouroboros pairing. So, for example, if you issue Lanz an order at the start of the Chain Attack and complete it, and then later issue and complete and order for Sena, you will be able to initiate their Ouroboros Order, Demon Punisher.
The orders don’t need to be in order, just any two from the Ouroboros pairings is fine. You may need to progress through the story to unlock it. The pairings are Noah and Mio, Eunie and Taion, and finally, Lanz and Sena.
It’s worth noting that launching an Ouroboros Order using this method will instantly end the Chain Attack. However, if you launched a Chain Attack with an Interlink Level 3 in effect, the Ouroboros Order will be available from the start of the battle. In this instance, the Ouroboros Order will not end the Chain Attack.
Your Interlink level allows you to launch devastating attacks. This guide on How To Raise Interlink Level In Xenoblade Chronicles 3 tells you everything you need to know about Arts, Fusion Arts, Combos, and how to increase your Interlink level to 3 so you can initiate Ouroboros Orders during Chain Attacks.
