Where can you find Cthulu and how do you beat it?
How to find the Cthulu Boss
The Cthulu boss is only accessible via speaking with a specific NPC. You first need access to the Dreamer’s Crypt location, which you can find on Terrapin Island. Look for the NPC called Sea Traveler, who stands in front of an inaccessible archway. If you have a player level of 200 or above, speaking with the Sea Traveler NPC unlocks the entrance, which takes you to the Dreamer’s Crypt.
When inside the Dreamer’s Crypt, you can then speak to the Silas NPC. As long as your player level is at least 200, you can unlock the Cthulu boss fight. If you meet the requirements, Silas grants you access to the boss arena.
Simply walk inside and wait for the cutscene to start! There’s a swirling portal-like shape on the floor, which has a timer above it. Due to some bugs, some players have to step onto the swirling pattern for the cutscene to begin.
How to Beat the Cthulu Boss
I recommend entering this battle with a couple of friends, but it’s doable as a solo player. Once Cthulu spawns, you must pick up the Keeper’s Torch that is on the ground. Find it in your inventory, and equip it so that your avatar is holding the item. Use the torch to start the fight!
You can use the torch to attack Cthulu with beams of fire, though this only deals a small amount of damage. It’s the lanterns around the battle arena that you need to pay the most attention to. To access these lanterns, you need to jump across the small platforms (sort of like mini parkour) to get to them.
Now, look at the HP bar for Cthulu and take note of the order of colours from the right. The colour on the right is the colour of the lantern that you need to get to first.
For example, let’s say the colour is red. You must find the red lantern, press E to imbue the flame, and then attack Cthulu with red flames via your torch. There are 6 colours in total, so keep following the order from the right!
