We spoke to a duo from AndaSeat – Product Manager Zhao Yi, and CEO Lin Zhou – all about its exciting new product. Namely the Kaiser 4 chair.
We delved into its conception, what goes into making a seat dedicated to gamers, and much more besides.
Can you give us a little insight into how the AndaSeat Kaiser 4 came to be, from prototype to final product?
Zhao Yi (ZY), Product Manager of AndaSeat: The AndaSeat Kaiser 4 went through extensive research and development phases, starting with prototype designs that were rigorously tested for comfort and durability. Feedback from beta testers, including professional gamers and ergonomic experts, was incorporated into the design. After refining the prototypes, we moved to small-scale production to ensure quality control before scaling up to full production.
What challenges did you face when developing the AndaSeat Kaiser 4?
ZY: One of the main challenges was ensuring the ergonomic design met the diverse needs of gamers while maintaining aesthetic appeal. Additionally, sourcing high-quality materials that are both durable and environmentally friendly required extensive research and collaboration with suppliers. Balancing cost and quality to keep the product accessible to our customers was another significant challenge.
Can you tell us a little how the chair is made and how long it takes to create just one AndaSeat Kaiser 4?
ZY: The AndaSeat Kaiser 4 is crafted through a meticulous process that includes precision engineering, manual assembly, and rigorous quality checks. From start to finish, it takes approximately 7-10 days to create one chair. Each chair undergoes multiple stages of inspection to ensure it meets our high standards of quality and durability.
What kind of manufacturing processes are involved in the AndaSeat Kaiser 4 – and how does this help set it above other chairs in the market?
Lin Zhou (LZ), CEO of AndaSeat: Our manufacturing process involves advanced ergonomics and precision engineering. We use high-density foam, premium leather, and reinforced steel frames to ensure durability and comfort. The assembly process is both automated and manual, combining precision with attention to detail.
