Honor held an event today at VivaTech, one of Europe’s largest tech and innovation events. The company unveiled its 4-layer AI architecture that will be developed in partnership with Google Cloud.
We were at the event in Paris where we also got a date for the global launch of the Honor 200 smartphones – they will arrive on June 12.
The new Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro smartphones will be the first devices with this new AI architecture designed by the company. The base layer is cross-device and cross-OS AI, standing as a foundation of an open ecosystem. Then, we have the platform-level AI layer with intent-based human-computer interaction.
The third layer is app-level AI for generative AI applications that should improve user experiences. At the top, we have Interface to Cloud AI services that provide users with easy access to massive cloud services, “creating a truly holistic and future-forward AI experience”, according to an official press release.
One specific AI feature that Honor 200 will bring is Portrait photography, developed in cooperation with Harcourt Studio, a French photography studio known for taking portraits of celebrities in different periods of their lives.
