While Hogwarts Legacy has managed to achieve stability on older consoles, the Switch is less powerful than even the base PlayStation 4. Marvel’s Midnight Suns is among the Switch ports to be canceled as studio’s have waved the white flag on the platform.Still, the Switch is home to some seriously impressive ports, including The Witcher 3 and Nier Automata. If Avalanche manages to optimize the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy, notably one of the most ambitious open world games of the generation, it will be one of the platform’s most impressive technical accomplishments to date.Hogwarts Legacy released earlier this year to strong reviews, and his since earned more than $1 billion. Its success has been mixed with controversy due to its connection to creator J.K. Rowling, though, who has been outspoken in her anti-transgender views.Hogwarts Legacy is set to release on Switch on November 14.Kat Bailey is a Senior News Editor at IGN as well as co-host of Nintendo Voice Chat.
