We saw a huge number of players collecting the Hogwarts Legacy achievements when the Xbox RPG launched on Xbox Series X|S last year, so it comes as no surprise that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is one of Warner Bros’ “biggest priorities.”Hogwarts Legacy sequel is a priority for Warner Bros. DiscoveryAs reported by Variety, Warner Bros. Discovery’s chief financial advisor Gunnar Wiedenfels has confirmed that the company wants to make another Hogwarts Legacy. “Obviously, a successor to Hogwarts Legacy is one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road,” Wiedenfels said during an interview at the Bank of America’s 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference. “So there is certainly a significant growth contribution from that [games] business in our strategic outlook here.”Of course, it’s still far too early to know what a Hogwarts Legacy successor would look like, especially as the first game was a single-player action-RPG. Earlier this year, Warner Bros revealed that it’s increasing its focus on live service and free-to-play games going forward, despite the awful reception Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League received when it launched in February — which has reportedly led to layoffs at Rocksteady.Wiedenfels reportedly acknowledged Suicide Squad as a “miss” for the company, but confirmed that gaming continues to be a “strategic asset” for Warner Bros. Discovery. Would we get another single-player experience like the original, or will Warner Bros attempt to turn its sequel into a live service cash grab? We’ll have to see.As for other games from the Wizarding World, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions launched this week, and we have its achievement list for you to check out.
