The Elder Scrolls Online’s High Isle Chapter will allow players to experience the medieval nobility of the Bretons, and includes four new dungeons, a collectable card game, and more.The Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure will be themed around The Elder Scrolls Online’s upcoming Chapter, High Isle, and will move away from Daedra-focused apocalyptic events in favour of political intrigue. High Isle is home to the wealthiest Bretons, and while they treat the group of islands as a resort, it’s also a great place to hold secret peace talks for the Three Banners War. While the noble Society of the Steadfast is attempting to negotiate peace between the three factions, a group known as The Ascendant Order has the motive to disrupt the talks. We’ll need to find out who they are and put an end to their plans.The Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure will kick off in March when the Ascending Tide DLC launches, adding two new dungeons to the game: Shipwright’s Regret in Rivenspire and Coral Aerie in Summerset. The reveal’s post-show gave us a preview of the two dungeons, as well as the following sets that will be available in them (thanks, ESO Hub):The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle Chapter is expected to launch after the Ascending Tide DLC in the middle of the year. It will be the main focus of 2022’s year-long adventure and take us to the Breton’s High Isle, an island paradise filled with castles, tournament grounds, and grandeur. The area has never been included in any Elder Scrolls game to date, so we’ll be looking forward to spending some time there. The Chapter will introduce two new companions for you to recruit: Ember, a magic-wielding Khajiit who grew up on the streets, and Isobel, an aspiring knight who believes in honour and doing right by players. Alongside those two additions we’ll also get to play Tales of Tribute: an in-game collectable card game that focuses on resource building. It’s a two-player game that can be played in both PvE and PvP, offering its own leveling system, advancing storyline, and rewards in the way of furnishings, transmute stones, and more. Additionally, a base game patch that will coincide with High Isle’s launch, will introduce Spanish text translations. While all of the game’s voice overs will remain in English, the in-game subtitles and texts will be translated into Spanish.The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle can be preordered now and will launch on June 6th for Windows PC and Mac, and June 21st for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4.The Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure will also introduce a few other new additions to the game, although it’s unclear when they will be available. A new deconstruction assistant will be available in the Crown Store, and will allow you to break down unwanted armour, weapons, jewellery, and glyphs while out adventuring. PvP players can look forward to new Imperial City and Rewards for the Worthy sets, and we will finally be getting account-wide in-game achievements. Two-player mounts will once again be tested on the PTS server, so whether we’ll see them fully implemented this year is anyone’s guess — but a second test is certainly promising!We’re ready to dive into The Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure and High Isle, are you?
