In partnership with Xbox Game Studios, Kojima Productions has now formally announced OD. Hideo Kojima also revealed that the upcoming Xbox exclusive is also being created in partnership with acclaimed film director Jordan Peele. The trailer is a bit of a strange one, if we’re being honest, and doesn’t really tell us anything about the game. Thankfully, Kojima Productions has given us a few more details about OD. Kojima Productions says OD “explores the concept of testing your fear threshold, and what it means to OD on fear – while blurring the boundaries of gaming and film.”Sophia Lillis (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Hunter Schaffer (Euphoria), and Udo Kier (Flesh for Frankenstein) will all play leading roles in OD. According to Kojima himself, Kojima Productions is working with Xbox Game Studios and its cloud gaming technology to “take on the challenge of creating a very unique, immersive, and totally new style of game – or rather, a new form of media.”For more news from this year’s show, check out everything announced at The Game Awards 2023.
