Scandinavian esports organisation HEROIC has secured a partnership with online retailer CDKeys.
As a result of the deal, CDKeys will be present on HEORIC’s jerseys as well as across the organisation’s digital platforms.
According to the organisation, the partnership will also help HEROIC deliver more content such as skits and vlogs. Moreover, the organisation teased potential tournaments, giveaways and other community activations.
“This partnership is a natural fit,” said HEROIC’s CCO Krystian Jaroszynski. “I’m personally a long-time customer of CDKeys — and so are many of our employees and fans!
“With the ambition of CDKeys to remain on top of their game and reach more gamers alike – we’re a great choice to deliver their best deals to our otherwise hard-to-reach audience. And we do know that our audience likes great deals! Match made in heaven.”
CDKeys joins HEORIC’s list of commercial partners which includes the likes of blockchain platform Polkadot and crypto casino Thunderpick.
The online retailer’s logo will be seen on the shoulder sleeve of HEROIC’s jersey throughout its entire IEM Katowice campaign.
Despite the majority of its eighth-placed VRS roster being acquired by Team Falcons, HEROIC has still qualified for IEM Katowice due to signing the majority of Sangal Esports’ players. Outside of Counter-Strike, HEROIC also competes in the Dota 2 and Fortnite esports ecosystem.
For CDKeys, this isn’t the first time the company has embraced the esports sector. In 2019, the company secured a deal with now-defunct esports organisation Epsilon Esports.
“HEROIC has built a reputation not just as a force in esports but as a pioneer in creativity and social media,” commented Cormac Moylan, CMO of CDKeys.
“Their ability to engage and inspire their community, while also smashing the opposition, is a great fit for CDKeys, and we’re excited to be on this mission together. This partnership is set to be a GG all round!”
