Aaron Linde, Halo Infinite’s lead narrative designer, is leaving 343 Industries to join Riot Games as a senior narrative writer at Riot R&D — the developer’s division for exploring new gameplay experiences. The news comes via Twitter (thanks, VG247), in which Linde divulged the “bittersweet” news. While we don’t have any news on what Riot R&D is working on, Linde’s portfolio contains the likes of Halo Infinite, Gears of War 3, and Battleborn, so we might be seeing something similar appear in the future, but of course, that is purely speculation. Linde couldn’t be leaving 343 on a higher note, with Halo Infinite now available and cementing itself as one of the great Halo experiences. We gave the game a solid 8/10 in our official review, with Luke saying that “right now, it’s a damn good game… but when it eventually catches up to its ambitions, it could wind up being something much more impressive.”What kind of game would you like to see Linde working on with Riot R&D? A new shooter, or something new? Let us know in the comments!
