Halo Infinite head of design leaves 343 Industries

Jerry Hook, Halo Infinite’s head of design, has announced his departure from 343 Industries after spending the last four years working on the Master Chief’s latest outing.In a farewell message shared on Twitter (thanks, Eurogamer), Hook said, “Today marks my last day at 343i, Microsoft, and Halo. This journey has been filled with creating new worlds, platforms and products from Xbox, Xbox Live to Halo. Most of all it has been working alongside some of the most passionate and driven people in the industry, that have impacted millions of players around the world.”Thank you to all that have let me run alongside you in this amazing industry. And thank you to this community.”Halo Infinite loses industry veteranHook started his Microsoft career in 2003, where he was a lead program manager for commerce and accounts on Xbox Live. He later went on to work as an executive producer, helping ship Halo: CE Anniversary, Halo 4, Halo: Spartan Assault, and more. In 2015, he left Microsoft for Bungie to work on Destiny before returning to Microsoft at 343 Industries in 2018. Hook hasn’t said where he’ll be moving on to or who will be replacing him as Halo Infinite’s head of design. In other Halo Infinite news, 343 Industries has restored the tank gun glitch, which makes LASO runs much, much easier.
