Rockstar has finally confirmed that the next entry into the Grand Theft Auto series is in production and that development is “well underway” on the title. In a brief update shared over on Rockstar’s Newswire, the developer discussed what’s coming next for the Grand Theft Auto franchise. “With the unprecedented longevity of GTAV, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series,” Rockstar wrote. “With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered — and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway.” Rockstar says it looks forward to sharing more on the new GTA title as soon as it’s ready and asks fans to keep an eye on Rockstar Wire for more details.
