Grand Theft Auto V is, once again, leaving Xbox Game Pass after a brief three-month stint in the service. The game has appeared in the leaving soon section of the Game Pass mobile app without a date. Grand Theft Auto VDescription: When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other.Size: 70GBGrand Theft Auto VWhen a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other. It seems that Rockstar only likes to include its titles in Xbox Game Pass for a period of around three months. Grand Theft Auto V only re-joined Xbox Game Pass library back in April after a previous period in the service that lasted for the same amount of time. We’ve also seen the same happen with Red Dead Redemption 2, which was also only included in Xbox Game Pass for three months. While GTA 5 has featured twice in Xbox Game Pass, Red Redemption 2 has only been included once. It’s possible that Rockstar could be rotating these games in and out of the service, so we might see RDR2 return to Game Pass once more. Unfortunately, the Xbox Game Pass mobile app doesn’t (currently) give us a date for when GTA 5 will leave the service. While games generally stick around for two weeks after they’ve been announced as leaving Game Pass, it’s possible GTA 5 could drop out of the service on August 1st along with The Touryst, Undermine, and It Lurks Below. We will update you as soon as we have a firm date from Microsoft. Sad to see GTA 5 go after such a brief period in Xbox Game Pass? Give us your thoughts in the comments below.
