There’s still no sign of GTA 6 PC, but Rockstar hasn’t completely forgotten about the computer crowd. GTA 5 Enhanced is making its way back to Xbox Game Pass, and it’ll be accompanied by the PC version for the first time. That means subscribers to PC Game Pass or the combined Ultimate tier will have access to the definitive version of the Los Santos heist epic. It might not be the perfect salve while we await Grand Theft Auto 6’s arrival, but it does help to ease the agony of counting down the days.
If you can’t wait for the GTA 6 release date to be confirmed for PC, then the arrival of Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced on Game Pass is a welcome boon. It includes improved visual options, technical upgrades, and a cluster of previously console-exclusive features such as Hao’s Special Works Vehicles and other additional cars and modifications, making it the most complete iteration of the open-world game to date.
Unfortunately, the latest relaunch of the colossal crime game has been almost as messy as protagonist Trevor Philips’ antics. Currently, it sits at a ‘mixed’ rating with just 62% of user reviews positive, with many users complaining about technical issues, including problems migrating Legacy accounts across to the new version of the game.
With that said, we were pretty impressed by the visual upgrades on offer, and if you’re a PC Game Pass subscriber, this news is a good chance to check in on the updated release for yourself. You’ll be able to download both editions, allowing you to connect with friends on Steam or Epic Games, and will of course have access to the latest GTA Online update, Oscar Guzman Flies Again.
GTA 5 Enhanced will join the PC Game Pass lineup on Tuesday April 15. You’ll need to be an active subscriber to take advantage of this offer.
