Grow a Garden Tornado Weather Guide
Tornadoes are infrequent weather forecasts introduced during the Summer Harvest update. Despite their addition during a new event, this weather is permanent within the game. Tornadoes happen at random, unless you’re lucky enough to share a server with an admin, in which case they might trigger one manually.
When a Tornado begins, you’ll see a cone-like swirl of wind breeze across the map. Sometimes, the event produces several tornadoes, all of which move independently from one another. If the Tornado makes it into your garden, any crops touched by the tornado will adopt the Twisted Mutation (x5 Value).
Twisted crops appear to have tornado-like swirls coming from their main fruiting bodies, appearing similar to the Windstruck mutation.
Can Tornadoes Ruin Crops?
You’d think that Tornadoes disturb your crop development by plucking them off the vine and whisking them away. But fortunately, this isn’t true, and the Tornado event isn’t harmful at all, despite its real-world counterpart being less friendly. Similarly, Tornadoes don’t disrupt your pets and their abilities. So, when one begins, you can safely watch as it tears through your garden, leaving only mutations behind.
Do Any Gears Enhance Tornadoes?
Unlike the Lightning Rod that redirects Storms to strike your crops, there are no gears in Grow a Garden currently which redirect Tornadoes to guarantee your crops will adopt the Twisted mutation. This may change in the future, so I recommend bookmarking this page and checking back for updates!
