The Summer Harvest is here, and if you’re anything like us, you might be finding the event a bit trickier than others. It’s a bit more complicated than previous events, and you need other players on board if you want to succeed… or do you? Through the power of one particular crop, you can rack up tons of points cheaply without the need to hoard a ton of valuable stuff. The Grow A Garden Tomato Method is a way to turn a humble fruit you might have forgotten about into a point-building powerhouse. Let’s explain how to do it.

You can play Grow A Garden on Roblox. If you’re confused about what we’re talking about, maybe take a look at our Grow A Garden update guide.

How To Do The Tomato Method

In brief, the Tomato Method goes like this.

  • Grow as many Tomato Plants as you can.
  • Before the Summer Harvest you want to take part in, fill your backpack with high-value Summer Fruit. (Sugar Apples are best, but Divine, or if necessary, Mythical crops can work.
  • When the Summer Harvest starts, sell all your high-value crops.
  • Drop a sprinkler next to your Tomato Plants.
  • Harvest your Tomatoes and drop them off at the Harvest NPC.
  • Return to your Tomato Plants and harvest them again.
  • Repeat until the event ends.

Why Tomatoes?

Yes, Tomatoes. If you’ve spent a lot of time in Grow A Garden you probably stopped planting these a while ago, but they are your secret weapon in this game. Why? Several reasons.

  • Tomatoes are cheap.
    • You can buy tomato seeds cheaply from the Seed Shop, they renew nearly every restock cycle and cost 800c each. You’ll make this back almost immediately if you start selling the crops, too.
  • Tomatoes grow fast.
    • Once the plant is fully grown then it replaces its fruit super fast. Fast enough, you can get multiple harvests off the same stem before the time limit.
