Grounded Super Duper Update adds wasps, over 100 new items, and new achievements

The free Super Duper Update for Grounded rolls out to all players today, bringing with it over 100 new craftable items, a new base cosiness feature, wasps, and some new achievements to unlock.Obsidian has now detailed Grounded’s Super Duper Update (update 1.2), which adds a bucketload of new quality-of-life features to the survival game along with new content and three new Grounded achievements. Super Duper Update coming to Grounded todayOne of the update’s main features is the Super Duper machine, which can be found in the Oak Tree Lab. This machine allows you to duplicate specific items using Raw Science. Obsidian notes that any time duplicated will include all of that item’s upgrades, which should save you a fair bit of time. To use the Super Duper machine, you’ll need to find Duper Discs that are scattered throughout the yard. Another new feature introduced with update 1.2 is the Base Cosiness system, where buildings, furniture, and decorations all add to the cosiness level of your base. For levelling up your cosiness, you will be rewarded with new building recipes, a new mutation for base building, and new emotes. To help with this, Obsidian is introducing over 100 new craftable items for your base. Elsewhere, Turrets have been changed, and Obsidian has combined the Pebble Turret and the Pollen Turret to make the Acorn Turret that fires different ammo types depending on the critter you’re fighting, which will be needed to take on the backyard’s newest enemy, wasps. Wasps and drones are now guarding their mini hives across the upper yard, and there is a main nest tucked away out there as well. Obsidian says if you “piss off their kin and you’ll release the full fury of the hive.” For a real challenge, you’ll want to take on the new Wasp Queen boss, who can be found in the Wasp Nest. The Super Duper Update also adds three new achievements to Grounded, but Obsidian have yet to reveal the new list.
