Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy

The much-rumoured GTA remastered trilogy has seemingly leaked via a South Korean ratings agency website, with the title being rated on September 30th. According to the listing, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was rated by Korea’s Game Management Committee today (September 30th). Unfortunately, it doesn’t give us much else to go off, other than the game receiving a predictable ‘Youth not allowed’ classification. Rumours about a possible GTA remastered trilogy have been swirling for months now. A report from Kotaku last month suggested that the new trilogy will include remastered versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Kotaku says the remasters have been developed using Unreal Engine and will be a mix of “new and old graphics.” Kotaku’s report also notes that the trilogy is planned to launch for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch, PC, Stadia, and interestingly, mobile phones, sometime around late October or early November. Back in May, publisher Take-Two revealed in a financial report it has six “new iterations of previously released titles,” which is a fancy way of saying remaster or remake, launching throughout its 2022 fiscal year, so it’s possible that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is one (or three) of those titles. If the rating is real and the report from Kotaku is correct, we could potentially hear more on Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition from publisher Take-Two very shortly. Are you interested in playing remastered versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
