Granblue Fantasy Relink hits its first major sales Milestone in just 11 days!
2024 continues last year’s trend of major releases hitting it big every other week. After the record-breaking success of Palworld, we can now celebrate the success of Granblue Fantasy Relink. A project that’s turbulent development and a franchise’s long tenure in the mobile space is getting the recognition it deserves.
Granblue Fantasy Relink Hits 1 Million Sales in Just 11 Days
Earlier today Publisher Cygames announced that the long-awaited console adaptation of their fantasy epic Granblue Fantasy, Gran Blue Fantasy Relink has reached a million sales across all platforms and releases. Critics and fans of the franchise have critically praised the PlayStation and PC release for mixing action RPG antics and fun anime aesthetics into a gameplay loop that can sometimes feel like a more character-action spin on Monster Hunter.
Last year another entry in the franchise Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising was released as a remaster and do-over of the previously released fighting game entry based on one of Japan’s most popular mobile games.
Relink seems to be on another level, unlike the fighting game it serves as a brilliant introduction to the world and characters of Granblue Fantasy which is the mobile game that will celebrate its 10th anniversary next month.
What’s Next for Granblue Fantasy Relink?
Starting in March, Granblue Fantasy Relink will start intruding new playable characters, features, and new quests for players to tackle. You can also expect there to be a crossover event with the mobile game considering its upcoming anniversary.
While Cygames hasn’t made any announcements regarding the future of Relink, its sales success and critical acclaim might convince them to add more content via DLC down the line. The publisher has a long history of updating their titles consecutively for years and there are still a lot of characters that we would like to see playable in Granblue Fantasy Relink.
