Multinational esports organisation GIANTX has acquired League of Legends AI coaching start-up iTero Gaming in a multi-million deal.
According to a release, the acquisition will enable GIANTX, its fans and gamers worldwide to receive AI-driven performance coaching for the game.

Jack Joseph Williams, Founder of iTero Gaming, has also joined the esports organisation as its new Head of Gaming Technology.
AI-driven LoL coaching app iTero Gaming was launched in September 2022. Today, the start-up has gained nearly 250,000 installs. iTero Gaming also won Esports Insider’s 2021 pitch investment competition, The Clutch.
GIANTX did not share specific financial numbers of the acquisition aside from stating it is a multi-million deal.
Speaking about the acquisition Williams said: “I’m excited to be joining the GIANTX team. EXCEL ESPORTS was the first esports team I became a fan of and I’ve followed their journey over the last few years.
“I believe and have always believed that data and AI have the potential to seriously disrupt the status quo of esports, whether that’s finding undervalued players or identifying strategies outside of the standard meta.“
Multinational esports organisation GIANTX was formed in December last year following the merger of London-based EXCEL ESPORTS and Malaga-based Giants Gaming. The merger retained each team’s talent, rosters and content creators, allowing GIANTX to compete in League of Legends’ LEC and VALORANT’s EMEA league.
Since then, GIANTX has renewed several partnerships, including deals with UK-based bank HSBC UK, car toy brand Hot Wheels and esports data and analytics company Shikenso Analytics.
