Certain Ghoul RE events pop up now and again that push your character’s strength and skills to the limit, but grant a ton of extra rewards!
Can you survive the Ghoul RE Permadeath mode? If your character is a Ghoul, it’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with the Ghoul RE Kakuja feature.
Ghoul RE Events
Ghoul RE features 3 server events at the time of writing this guide.
Permadeath
- This server event has a random chance to spawn every 60 minutes, but it is not always a guarantee
It feels like playing the game on extreme mode. Once your character dies, that’s it, you need to reset. It’s happened to me, where I suddenly get attacked and defeated by a random player, only to be met with the character creation screen. It essentially wipes your character, sending you straight to ‘purgatory’, and dropping all of your current items, reducing your in-game progress.
Alongside the reset, there are also a few other changes to the game when the Permadeath server event is active. When defeating enemies, they drop 5 times the usual amount of loot, making it a great event for farming.
Another thing is that Point Capture events can still be active even during Permadeath, which results in them dropping 3.5 times the normal amount of rewards. You obtain these rewards through various means such as eating opponents (both players and NPCs), completing quests, and defeating enemies.
Faction Raids
- Faction Raids have a chance to spawn every 30 minutes, but they are not a guarantee
Raids are optional! Please note that they differ from the Boss Raids. There are 4 available raids that have a chance to appear, which are:
- Invasion
- Jason’s Birdcage
- Blood Crown
- Artifact Hunt
Point Capture
- This server event spawns every 10 minutes, making it the most common
This is a little less risky than the Permadeath mode. It’s a server event that pits Ghouls against members of the CCG as you try to capture a point. Players must stand in the correct area to earn points for their team, which is indicated on the map.
The team that has the most points at the end of the event wins! As for rewards, there are various items as well as EXP up for grabs. It’s a useful way to earn EXP on the side!
