Mortal Kombat 1 developer NetherRealm has released the launch trailer for expansion Khaos Reigns that includes a first look at DLC character Ghostface.Ghostface makes a guest appearance in the gory fighting game fresh from the Scream film franchise, and the character’s Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1 is a direct reference to those movies, specifically 2023’s Scream 6 with its multiple Ghostface killers.In the Fatality, we see two Ghostface killers work together to tear poor Sub-Zero apart in a gruesome co-op stab. Fellow DLC character Sektor, for example, has a Fatality that references Marvel’s Iron Man.And finally, we see the four new character skins available as a bonus for those who pre-order Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, including Wedding Scorpion, Empress Mileena, and klassic Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 versions of Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot.Khaos Reigns hits Mortal Kombat 1 after four million sales since launching in September 2023.
