Jul 2, 2021

The world of Sucker Punch and PlayStation Studios’ Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut will make its way to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 20, 2021.

This edition of the game will include the original adventure and every piece of additional content sold to date. The PlayStation 5 release will now offer lip sync for its Japanese voice over, along with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. 3D audio, improved loading times, 4K resolution options, and a targeted 60 frame per second framerate will also be included.

This release will include Iki Island, which will pay host to a new adventure for Jin Sakai. Investigating the rumors of a Mongol presence, he soon finds himself wrapped up in events that will force this samurai to relive traumatic moments from his past. This island will feature new environments to explore, new armor for Jin and his horse, new mini-games, new techniques, new enemy types, and new animals to pet. New Trophies for this content will also be included.
