Last year, developer Poncle added a cheat code to its fantastic roguelike Vampire Survivors, which unlocks some spooktacular skins for four playable characters. Now that it is the spookiest night of the year, Poncle wants to remind all players about the cheat code. What a treat! Although we’re still waiting to find out when online multiplayer co-op will be added to Vampire Survivors, Poncle rolled out a free update in August for couch co-op, so snuggling under a blanket with your co-op partner could be a great way to spend Halloween tonight. If the on-screen chaos of Vampire Survivors is your port of call this evening, instead of one of the best Xbox horror games, then make sure you use the cheat code ‘spoopyseason’ to get new skins for Bianca Ramba, Mortaccio, O’Sole Meeo, and Yatta Cavallo.To claim the skins, you’ll first need to unlock the Secrets tab in the main menu by finding the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane, a relic in the Bone Zone map. Once it’s unlocked, you can go to the Spells section of the Secrets menu to type in ‘spoopyseason’. If you’ve typed it in correctly, you’ll automatically be transported into a game with Ramba. You don’t need to play through it or anything, so feel free to quit out and check out the skins for the other characters!While this code isn’t new, Vampire Survivors wasn’t out on Xbox last Halloween, as it launched earlier on PC and then joined Xbox in November, so this is the first time that we get to use these themed-skins on their appropriate day.If you’ve not played Vampire Survivors yet, its chaotic roguelike shoot ’em up gameplay makes for a fun casual experience, and with the addition of regular updates like the recent Whiteout map, it’s one of our favorite Xbox Game Pass titles.
