The Georgia Bulldogs got a bit of bad news with one of their quarterbacks reportedly testing positive for COVID-19 prior to the Orange Bowl.
Well, this isn’t the sort of news Georgia football fans want. JT Daniels, a quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs, has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report from Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald.
In his report, Weiszer noted that Daniels is currently the backup quarterback for the Bulldogs. The former USC Trojan who transferred to Georgia has been dealing with some injury issues at various times throughout this season.

According to Weiszer’s report, the Bulldogs’ other quarterbacks should be able to continue to practice. However, it appears as if they will need to be tested for COVID-19.
It remains to be seen if Daniels will be available for Georgia’s game against the Michigan Wolverines in the College Football Playoff Semifinals. It is not totally clear when Daniels initially tested positive for COVID-19 or if he has been symptomatic.
Still, this is the last sort of thing Georgia or its fans wanted. Having anyone test positive for COVID-19 is less-than-ideal.
