Version 2.1 of miHoYo’s Genshin Impact, “Floating World Under the Moonlight,” will make its debut on September 1, 2021.
This update continues the story of the Traveler, the Electro Archon, different factions, and the people of Inazuma. Along the way, players can pay a visit to Watatsumi Island and Seirai Island. Boss enemies like the Hydro Hypostasis, Thunder Manifestation, and Trounce Domain Boss Signora will also make their appearance.
Also joining the game are the playable nazuma characters Raiden Shogun, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Kujou Sara. The Raiden Shogun will join as a five-star Electro polearm user, while the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island Sangonomiya Kokomiis is another five-star character. Kujou Sara, who serves as a general of the Tenryou Commission, can dish out solid Electro ranged attacks with herbow and can provide buffs. Note that Story Quests for the Raiden Shogun and Kokomi will also be available.
Fishing will also be introduced with this version of the game across Teyvat. Each bounty can be used for fish meat, or can also be exchanged for rewards and new fishing rods from the Fishing Association. The Pool of Sapphire Grace, a new furnishing added to the Serenitea Pot system, will also allow players to raise Ornamental Fish.
Finally, the first crossover character will make her appearance in this update. Hailing from the Horizon Zero Dawn series, the “Savior From Another World” Aloy will join as a free five-star character.
